8 Posts Hi, I am a Flash Game programmer. And I often make fun little games in my spare time. I was wondering if you guys would ever consider having developer support? I would love to contribute some games!
22 Posts Hey Garb, what kind of support are you thinking of? I'm very interested in helping fellow developers out :)
8 Posts Not that you actually have to follow any of my ideas, but I was just thinking some stuff like, preloaders and such.Maybe like sponsors? :)
On a quick unrelated note, is it possible for me to change my avatar? Thanks
2 Posts ^Yeah I've also seen sites that share a percentage of ad revenue with devs
Also another good way to be more supportive to developers would be to allow other game formats. I think Kongregate is actually allowing games made in Unity now for example but I'm not sure if it's permanent.
8 Posts I agree, but then again, I don't think you actually need to make a revenue, due to it being kinda a hassle. But still, would be nice to have some sort of uploading support?
22 Posts We've got a preloader that I'm more than happy to throw up on the site for you guys to use, and as far as sponsorships go, there isn't too much money around right now, but I'm definitely not opposed to the idea. Show me what you got!
Sharing ad revenue would be pretty awesome, but, that would likely bring a lot of legal issues that we're not equipped to deal with at the moment.
Avatars are near the top of my list of things to implement. I'll be sure to let you know when you can change yours.
I want to support Unity. It's on my list of things to do.
Uploading support is something I thought about, but my host doesn't want me to allow uploads to everyone, perhaps for a small group of trusted users?
I think that covers everything so far... I'm going to put the preloader somewhere on the site, I'll let you know as soon as it's up.
8 Posts On the idea of specific uploaders, you might be able to implement some system, where they can email you or something of the lines, and then you go through there examples of work and such and allow them to make some sort of example that they could then give to you, and you could okay it, then so on, but that's just an idea.
22 Posts That'd work just fine for now, I'll try to get something else set up soon though. You can email me at Graham@Ironswine.com
